The Tall Tales from my Paint Palette

I used to find shapes in the clouds...now I find them in my paint palette! So many characters with such ridiculous stories to tell! What do you see in them?

I used to find shapes in the clouds…now I find them in my paint palette!  These characters all came from this one paint palette.   They have slightly ridiculous stories to tell..okay not slightly!

One of these characters will be the next Spark of Art-spiration but I can’t decide which one to include as the free download in the newsletter going out on Sunday.  Which one would you like me to include?  Let me know in the comments!   Not signed up for the newsletter yet?  Get signed up here.

The Tales:

1. Yellow bunny grabbing for an orange carrot…but not just any bunny- a Ninja bunny!  She’s got a black belt after all!

I used to find shapes in the clouds...now I find them in my paint palette! So many characters with such ridiculous stories to tell! What do you see in them?

2. A blue woman smelling a pink rose that makes her day so much brighter than it was!

3. This is a Simpsons-esque character with the yellow flesh and wisp of hair on top running to get away from the tornado whipping all sorts of colorful paint in the air.

4. Tigger…who is now all green thanks to an unfortunate St. Patrick’s Day cake accident or was he just trying to get the entire cake for himself?

5. This green guy with a yellow hard hat is running for his life as aliens invade in what looks like a flying banana.  Of course, he seems to have a very scared blue cat in his arms…

So now you know what’s been bouncing around in my head when I saw these.  What do you see in them?  And be sure to leave a comment and tell me which one you want me to turn into a Spark of Art-spiration for the next newsletter!

Number three from your paint pallet is my favorite because it shows more blue, my favorite color. You make me giggle at some of your descriptions of shapes.
    Keep smiling!

The blue woman for sure! xox

I like #2 as it has several different images to me. I also like the blue girl smelling the roses. I seem to see 3 girls faces in that one but can’t see the blue girl’s pink rose??? I really like this idea and still look for shapes in clouds.
    Thanks for sharing your work.

    Definitely the tiger! Love it!

I can’t decide. It is either the rabbit or tigger. Both could be turned into so much. As a side note, I do something very similar when I peel my dried acrylics off my palette paper. I thought I was just being weird!

Cannot decide from the paintings as they all look inspirational and FUN. The story behind 5 made me laugh out loud so I guess it gets my vote (voting for all five would be greedy, right?)

definitely number four for the next artspiration. Don’t know about tigger being green but whoever/whatever that little guy is, he sure looks mighty happy. Beaut colors. Anything or anyone who looks that happy has to get my vote.

I love reading your blog & especially your videos. I too signed up for your hubby’s journaling adventure, but never received anything since the first video. Possibly dates they were sent would help me find them…. I notice there are multiple links in your blog’s & wonder if I just cant find it? Thanks for permission to play!

I am a huge fan of pareidolia… the human ability to see shapes in randomness! What fun it was to find the shapes you saw!!
