Dave’s Art Journaling Adventure

My Husband Makes His First Art Journal Page!Be prepared to laugh along as I guide my husband as he makes his very first art journal page from start to finish. He definitely puts his own twist on the page as only he can in this free 4 video series all about getting started art journaling.

The first video is all about him finding the right journal for him.  He has no idea where to start, so I ask him a few questions and tell him what I look for in a journal so he can make the decision that is right for him.

Watch Dave’s Art Journaling Adventure on YouTube.

Looks as if you both had a fun time! Reminds me when my husband tested for my Acrylic Landscape Painting Art Day I was to have with friends. He turned out to be rather good at it too!

Thank you Dave for doing this series, I am so excited to see where you take us. Actually, I am hoping this will be the kick in the pants I need to get started. I watch all the videos get excited but usually am missing a couple of supplies needed so I make a note to pick them up. By the time I get them I don’t remember what I was going to do so I go back to square one watching videos. I have been collecting supplies for 2 years but rarely play for fear of wasting or ruining something. It is time to just jump in and I think or hope I am ready.

Loving this series of videos!! Your husband is adorable and makes me smile as I watch you teaching him about art journaling. He seems like a great guy! And to Gayle Richmond who commented below (or above?!)…I was like you. I watched tutorial videos online for months, had all kinds of blank journals in pristine condition, boxes full of paints and stamps and supplies, but never did anything with them. I felt like if I messed up one page, the whole journal was ruined. Don’t be afraid to take Carolyn’s advice…just play. Don’t be afraid to get messy, make mistakes, and see what magic you can create!
