Can You Use Fabric on the Gelli Plate-YES!

I'm playing around fabric on the Gelli Plate for this month's Colorful Gelli Print Party. Come on over and check out the video!

Can you use fabric on the Gelli Plate? Absolutely!

The white fabric I used was very very affordable, actually might be called cheap.  I have used heavier fabrics and they work well also.

This is up a few days early – hope no one minds…In the video, I’m using regular acrylic paints on fabric.  To make the acrylic paint printed fabric washable I used  GAC 900.  Once it is completely dry, heat set it with an iron.

Grab some fabrics and start experimenting with them on the Gelli Plate!

Love your colors always. Seem to be my go to as well. Have you tried Indian yellow? Fabulous with the teal! Thanks for another great demo!

Carolyn you were just reading my mind, that’s what I plan to do after I finished with the much-to-do around the book and the exhibition, I bought the fabric and well need to admit, didn’t think about the GAC 900, but now I added to my shopping list 😉

I’ve been wanting to do this for a while, so thanks for the perfect timing. Love the results, and thanks to for the info re GAC 900–it’s new to me. Funny, I’ve never had to use anything to keep the acrylic paint on fabric (my clothes….lol!) it hasn’t faded, even…..drat.

That looks like a lot of fun! I’ve got some muslin and some of the fabric medium. I’ve got to try this!

I found some sock fabric my Mom had from years ago. I served around a long piece to make a scarf out of it and am good to do gel prints on the ends. Thanks for the video.

I really enjoyed how you explained how to do gelli printing on fabric.
I am inspired to try it.
    Thanks, Beth

Looks so good. Could you please explain what GAC900
is and is it available in England?
