I am becoming more aware of the little touches that make a piece of art look more polished. Here is my theater from the last post.  I liked it overall but I felt like something was missing. After a few details with Pitt Pens.  The yellow outlined the words but then I smeared a grey [...]

Die cuts have been making me happy lately.  I broke down and bought a Character Constructions die.  What took me so long?  It’s heavenly.  Every scrap I have that is big enough gets run through that – now I have dolls everywhere. To give the doll a little more strength I also die cut an [...]

I used the same technique as my last post to dress up a photo of a church in Bath, England. The photo was very drab.  Not a lot of color – the sun wasn’t out helping my photos.  A shocker in England I know…The sky in this one is Shimmerz.

There was a terrible disease I had on vacation – shutterbug-itis.  This meant I took photos of everything just to get a few incredible pictures.  The results are some very mediocre photos.  But the memories were fantastic.  So I decided to play around with some of the blah prints. 1.  Scratch lines around shapes in [...]

After using Adirondak Color Wash I had the overspray left on my counter. Ignore the mess, just notice the ink.  It’s also yesterday’s mess so the in was completely dry.  I sprayed a bit (okay, puddles) of water so the ink would become fluid again.  I went crazy with the texture fades from Tim Holtz [...]

Why did I buy this paper?  Did I ever love it?  I will now!  Add a little spray paint stenciling. Add brown spray inks.  When I wiped the ink off the spray painted area, the white popped & the old pattern got a new life.

Do you have any old scrapbooking papers that you may not love anymore or that you never did but they were part of a larger collection of papers?   Well I do, actually quite a few. My style has changed over 10 years – no shock.  I decided to experiment with them.  Since I might never [...]

First charm swap I’ve entered is done and ready to mail!  This was a “gremlin” project for me.  There were little gremlins saying the most unhelpful things in my ears while I created these.  Do you ever have those gremlins that say things like “it’s not good enough” “it won’t be just right” “how can [...]

After taking Alisa Burke’s Graffiti Chic I created stencils from photos.  After inking the paper with a stencil & letters I shrunk it on the copier so it would fit on a tag.
