Friendship Award Tutorial

Video showing how to build a colorful award ribbon with Carolyn Dube

Apparently, I only buy gift wrap for Christmas, baby showers, and weddings.  I needed to wrap a gift and could not find an appropriate wrapping paper so I made some!  This award ribbon, celebrating friendship, was supposed to go on a gift bag…after making this, I just wanted to put into my art journal or make it a pin…guess I need to make more!

As a bonus, I got to use some of the ribbons I have been accumulating- that felt great!

The green text washi tape was made using one of the techniques from my Transform Your Tape workshop.  You can find out all about it here.

The winner of a free spot in my workshop will be randomly selected soon!  UPDATE!! Carol Samsel is the winner of the workshop!  Congrats Carol!!

How much fun is this! I noticed one of your ribbons had A Colorful Journey printed on it. Did you order this special (or knowing you) I bet you stamped it yourself! Which? Just ordered the “tape” workshop….one request though, Would it be too much trouble to put the 3 workshops, “Words”, “Gelli” and “Tape” as a link at top of all your future pages so they are easy to find. I like to go back from time to time and view the videos and I have had trouble locating them.

The wording is just the “watermark” on the ribbon…maybe I need to make some personalized ribbon! Welcome to Transform Your Tape! I have a website redesign in the works and hopefully that will make it easier to get to as well as many other improvements and upgrades!

A favorite! This reminds me of when we made those flowers in Arizona the one time with the needle and thread 🙂 This would put a smile on ANYONE’s face!

  • Wow! This is seriously impressive and humbles me. Beautiful. Stopping by through Create with Joy’s Inspire me Monday.

Awesome award! I have the same problem of making something for a specific purpose and then wanting to keep it so I have to make another. LOL

Super project! What a great idea to use the tiny attacher to keep it all together in the beginning.
