Too cute! You make every project look so easy. I love your video tutorials.

I have a question for you (aside from the giveaway) I am subscribed, plus Follow your blog, but I never receive emails from you – just wondered.

    • Carolyn Dube February 24, 2014, 1:17 pm

Several months ago switched email providers. Due to their rules, this meant everyone had to re-opt back in. I sent out a couple of emails but with all the gmail changes they may have gotten trapped in your spam or gmail tabs. You can opt back in with the form at the top right of blog.

As far as following the blog, if you do the RSS feed, I don’t have much control over the details with that. If you did get it at one point and are not any more then it may be in spam or for some reason be blocked by your email. I know of another person who was having RSS issues for a week and then it self corrected. Not sure why it happened or how it was fixed.

      Hope this helps!

  • Michael February 24, 2014, 3:27 pm

    Just love this idea!!!

  • Rebecca Buchanan February 24, 2014, 3:32 pm

Great idea–I’ve got to make one. We’ve been wanting a re-usable sign to mark items as ‘gluten free’ or ‘dairy free’ etc. for our church coffee hour as well as for a local cafe. Two chalkboard tips I learned from Claudine Hellmuth: a) you can also use black gesso the same way you used the black paint; b) any new chalkboard surface will work better if primed first by rubbing it all over with the side of a piece of chalk (although yours seemed to work just fine).
Thank you Carolyn–I LOVE your videos!

  • Rosina Ervin February 24, 2014, 3:37 pm

I love it! I am definitely trying chalkboard paint.

  • Tommy McDonell February 24, 2014, 3:42 pm

Awesome Blackboard & video Carolyn. I love that it is really small, but has 4 times that amount of writing room (4 sides). I also love the negative stencilling. I can see me doodling in the small spaces with a chalk pencil. Thanks for the inspiration. Theresa x
