Dreaming of Snow

This winter has brought very little snow.   I can’t believe how much I miss a good snowfall.  If Mother Nature won’t make snow, then I will.  Life has been extra busy with great guests and fun family happenings- so this post is a bit shorter than my usual.

Love using the die cutting machine – used Tim Holtz’s snowflake off the edge die with some sparkly wrapping paper, and Sizzix’s dream die on a scrap of paper.  The dress form was cut using my Silhouette and used as a stencil/mask. The words are from a rub on that I dearly love but can’t remember what company made it. I wish I did because I would happily buy more of them!  Had to add a bit of glitter to the word dream.  Hope you had a great weekend and are having the weather you are dreaming about!

Love all the details!! The rub-on is really cool. I haven’t seen anything like that one. 🙂 We haven’t had much of a winter here in SC either. I’m not sure it that’s good or bad at this point! 😉

Lovely…no harm in making your own snow. When we don’t get rain, and I love it so much…I turn the hose pipe on and point it up into the trees to make my own rain…it so wonderful. This is a lovely piece of work and you have used lots of different techniques for an interesting piece:)

I really miss the snow, too. We usually have tall snowbanks after many snowstorms by now. Instead we barely have enough snow to cover the ground. Seems so strange. Ominous. Other people are loving this winter because of the change, but I miss the snow. Seems so wrong to see brown in February in Fargo.

I do love your snowflake dreamer. Me, too. Me, too. 😉

This is so soft and pretty Carolyn. Snow makes me feel so peaceful and ready to dream. Your painting did the same. Thank you.

This is really nice… i didn’t see that it was a dress until i read your words! Then (of course) it was SO obvious. Such nice soft colours. Thanks for posting! xoxo

Blues, greens and white–one of my fav color combos! And with the silver accents on the letters…very pretty!!!
