My stenciling wasn’t perfect. My colored pencil work wasn’t perfect. Nothing on this is perfect and I love it that way!
This Gelli print, made using a technique from my One Pull Wonders workshop, started it all. The swirls of color started to look like continents and it fit so perfectly with Mary Nasser’s stencil…before I knew it, I was cutting out the world!
This woman,joyfully holding an incredibly imperfect colorful world in her hands, reminds me that even if something is a “mistake” (an Oops to me) it can still be wonderful and incredible!

PS…This little guy is Archie who tolerates being dressed up for the most part. Until the gold shoes came out. He found the perfect spot to try to get away from us, under the tree. It is his favorite spot now to rest and relax. I have given up any hope of the tree skirt being straight…
As you celebrate this season, please be patient with those who are in pain. Those who are hurting in ways you can see and ways you can’t see.
This season I’ve been visiting hospitals for friends and family. The bravery, the pain, the struggle, and the triumph is all to clear on the faces. But that is at the hospital.
If I were to see them on the street, I might not realize how much pain they are in and how hard they are struggling to get through each day.
Help fill the holidays with heart by showing kindness and compassion to all that you meet. The simplest act can make a world of difference. A smile. A hug. A quick phone call telling someone you are thinking of them. That little bit of heart and connection can make the day brighter for everyone.
