Packing Up for Artiscape

Gelli printing® with butterfly masks

I’m starting to get packed up for the workshops I’m teaching at Artiscape this month.  You might be wondering why I am starting so soon to pack.  Artiscape is April 22-24th and it is just a car ride away for me.

The reason is simple.  Whenever I pack up Gelli® printing supplies, I have to stop and start playing.

Here are the two workshops where I’ll be playing…I mean teaching…

Making jewelry with Gelli printed® packing tape workshop with Carolyn DubeGelli-cious Gems from the Gelli Plate®: We’re making packing tape transfers of color and pattern and I’m sharing step-by-step how to get the layers to build up so that just the right bits and colors are peeking through when you pull up that tape.  Getting those fine details is not random at all and you’ll know how in this workshop.

Then we’re going to take those and make beautiful one of a kind necklaces! when you walk out the door you’ll have 2 complete pendants each with 24” matching chains.  One for you and one to give…or both for you!

Plus a bonus of the process is that you will create a stack of scrumptious colorful prints while prepping your plate for the tape transfer.

You can find out all about this workshop and registration here.

Gelli printing® with butterfly masksReverse Gelli Printing® with Silhouettes and Stencils: Using the reverse image of a stencil creates even more possibilities for a stencil!

You’ll be making a of prints using silhouettes and StencilGirl stencils on the Gelli Plate® in this technique based workshop.  You’ll not only get hands-on play with a huge stash of stencils, you will also find out the whys and how’s of layering shapes and patterns on the plate using reverse printing.

I’ve spent a lot of time playing around and finding the quickest ways to get amazing prints and avoiding making mud no matter how many colors I use and I’m sharing it all with you in this workshop.  Be prepared to make a giant stack of prints in this fast paced workshop!
