Putting some shimmer with some flat matte color today for the Clearsnap and StencilGirl blog hop as I create and color a stencil resist!
Be on the lookout for one of my weird personal quirks as you watch the video. I didn’t even realize it until I went back to do the voiceover.
Watch Using gel medium as a resist with a stencil and spray ink on YouTube.
Love how the matte of the Fireberry Colorbox Spritzer and the shimmer of the Mango Izink contrast!

Love your card Carolyn, and your little quirk – the one at about 4;09-10….I had to listen to that a couple times to get it, lol. But I love your card, your technique, but most of all, I love all your little quirks that make you you, so adored and loved by all your friends and family, I’m sure.
Love your word stencils
Fabulous, love it.

Love how you used the gel medium. Came out wonderful with the ink! I love your measuring too:)
Absolutely love this card. Will be using this technique on my next card. Really like that stencil as well. Has been on my wish list for Christmas for a while now. Thanks for sharing your project.

Oh Carolyn.. I just love to watch you work!! Beautiful project!!
Thank you for another wonderful video with a great technique!
i am beginning to really like this stencil. At first I was concerned they were your words not mine. I think I’ve changed my mind. This might just be in my next order!
Love the way you have used this stencil as a background!

I wouldn’t be able to cover the postage stamp either! I always have hard time cutting old ephemera, too. Especially photos. E-Gads! Thank goodness for scanners. Your card is awesome. Love that word stencil!! Maybe you should create a word stencil that contains all of “Your” words. Lol. TFS and for your wonderful vids.
Haha! Funny about the quirky bit. Enjoyed this video–I enjoy all of them! Thanks Carolyn for always being so precise……lol! Love that.
I loved this as I love all of Carolyn’s work!!
I have that “quirk” too, but mine is I can’t touch pages in books with nasties on them, like spiders, snakes, bugs, gruesome pictures of any kind
Love the way you linked the picture to the feature you were trying to illustrate.
thanks for sharing.
Carolyn, your card is superb! Love the bright vibrant colors especially!!
I HAVE to try this technique, it’s so easy! TFS
Beautiful. Love it!
Love this card! It hit all the right notes for me, and I love your technical use of space and lining things up 🙂

I always love your videos, but some times you can get so technical 🙂
Love this Carolyn!!
Hey, how come we never met at AIY? I can’t believe we were both there and we never got the chance to say hello in person!! “( xo
Love how easy you make new techniques look! Can’t wait to give it a go!
Love this! One day I am spending time to catch up watching your videos that I have missed! Keep on creating!
Great design! I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your video. I learn a lot from watching you work and even better, you are one artists I enjoy listening to as well. Your narration is always so clear and not difficult to listen to. I like the way you picked out a word that went with the image and worked it into the project. You were having so much fun with the different mediums. It makes me want to give them a try.
Thank you so much for sharing your time and talent! 🙂
I love gel resist! And it looks so awesome with your new stencil! I just got that one… I’m going to have to try it out! I don’t think I’ve done it with sprays yet… this looks so cool! Awesome project 😀
Super tute! More technical words to add to our vocabulary – very insightful 😉
Hi, I saw you on YouTube and I just love the relaxed style of teaching that you have. I haven’t been doing mixed media long and my husband is clutching his wallet and thanking the good Lord that I haven’t done it for long or he would be bankrupt. I am visually impaired and I have MS amongst a few other items that could do with being put in the shop for a tune up lol, so I am now as blind as a bat and on wheels. Great Combo!
I was recommended at therapy to give it ago and instantly fell in love. So I began to watch everything I could on YouTube and then signed up for some lessons which is the best move I ever did, I don’t take as many pain meds as I did before because I get so absorbed in my art.
So please let me apologise for being wordy, I never miss a chance to use a paragraph when a word or two would suffice, after all I don’t get to talk to many people!
And my comment was just simply to saw
God Bless you and Thank you for making an Australian woman very happy.
I am going to see where I can join your lovely group and smile regularly.
Hugs Lorraine x
