I love how positive you are! Thank you for doing this on video for us to see just how smooth and easy the PanPastels are! I really am looking forward to doing some art with Panpastels and stencils. I’ve learned so many ways to use them. Thanx again!!

  • Kathy July 31, 2014, 10:19 pm

I have a few pan pastels, but wasn’t sure what to do with them. You have opened my eyes to a new world! But question…Do you have to seal the journal page? Or if you use the pan pastels on a mixed media piece with other mediums, do you need to seal them if using a water based product?

    • Carolyn Dube July 31, 2014, 10:29 pm

I rarely seal them…but they might smudge if you don’t. On the page I made in this video the paint did a lot of the sealing for me so there will be very little smudging.

If you get them wet without sealing first, they will smear/run but that can give some really cool looks to it too! I’ve got a video using the Gelli Plate to seal here https://acolorfuljourney.com/?p=8696 Hope this helps!

  • shari vanpelt July 31, 2014, 10:25 pm

  • Miss Iowa July 31, 2014, 11:09 pm

I’ve heard so many people talk about Pan Pastels, but I’ve never used them. Do you have to seal them? The storage case is fabulous!

    • Carolyn Dube August 1, 2014, 10:20 am

I rarely seal them…but they might smudge if you don’t. On the page I made in this video the paint did a lot of the sealing for me so there will be very little smudging.

For some reason this makes me think of fresco painting. Or maybe fresh graffiti on a white wall because of the stencil.
This reminds me to use white paint on a colored background.

I have been hearing a lot about the Pan Pastels and would absolutely love to be able to give them a try! I have put them into my cart many times but always wind up taking them back out because of the cost.
Not knowing if I am going to be in love with them (like that will happen) before paying that much money for them has always been my stopping point! They REALLY have me itching to try them but darn money is a major factor (or should I say, lack thereof?) in my decision.
After watching your youtube video I am seriously salivating over them!! The blending looks like it is a dream and the colors are fabulous!!
Wishing my money tree hadn’t gotten washed away the last Rainy Day! I would have ALL of these but for that problem! LOL
I will be hoping that the Crafting Goddesses are with me and that I am the lucky winner of this amazing giveaway! Thank you so much for the chance to get my hands on these and get creating with them!! Hands together in praying position till the winner is announced!! Thanks for the inspiration also!
BTW I am already a blog follower and subscribed again to your youtube channel. (I think youtube is messing with me because lots of channels I KNOW I have subscribed to say I haven’t.)
    Toodles for now!
