Recipe for an art tag:

Layer cheap craft paints & gesso.

Top with a Crafter’s Workshop stencil and Color Wash spray ink.

Layer typed words, number, and mini notebook paper on top.

Use a  butterfly die cut to cut a piece of text.  Add gesso for strength & Brillance ink for color.

Write on the tag & attach photo.

Realize the words are  a bit too strong visually, so a quick layer of gesso to pull it to the background to taste.

I have been on a quest to use up things.  Now, I am a realist and I know it will be 2075 before I used up everything, but any step forward is a step forward…I liked this paper but didn’t love it.

A white pen and mindless doodling brought it back to life.  Since I don’t have the patience to do the entire page, I did a few flowers and cut them out to be used sometime in the future.  Yes, I know, most of the paper went back into my stash but now I really love it…maybe it will take longer than 2075 to use up all of my stash….

One of my favorite classes at Creative Escape was taught by a mother daughter duo,  Jenaye and Kelli Collins. The fabric flower was my kind of fabric work – not precise (hence I am not a quilter) and it did not involve reading a pattern!  I do have several of those rhinestone blingy buttons and I might actually use them instead of hoarding them in my stash  of “for the perfect project” goodies.
