I ran across this piece I made in Christy Tomlinson’s class as I was finalizing a few gifts. It struck me how important home is – home with family – and that changes happens whether I am ready or not. As I am going through old photos I felt how much I miss some very important people who are no longer in my life. I am also grateful they were in my life to start with and I am a better person because they were with me. Memories are one of the best gifts I’ve received not only this holidays season, but any season. Hope you’re enjoying old memories and making new ones this holiday season!
This post is very inspiring. I treasure memories too –be it with photos or my journals or the little stuffs in my box. Those certainly has helped us in our journey of life. Great painting!
Seems like I do a lot of thinking about my life from Christmas to New Year’s every year. So many events and people have made us who we are. I am grateful for all of it–good and bad. May you have a wonderful Christmas making new memories to add to the many. 🙂
I love this piece… The colors, the imagery, and the message! I think that the holidays always make us think of family and friends…past and present. I think that you have a great perspective! Happy Holidays!
This is just lovely, Carolyn! I just spent some of the days of my Christmas break with working through Christy’s She Art online class and really enjoyed it. The techniques are such fun, arent’y they, and the results always look so happy.
