Using Golden’s High Flow Paint with Rubber Stamps

Video using high flow paint with rubber stamps by Carolyn Dube

I’d heard about the high flow paint from Golden.  I wondered was it really that different from all my other paints?  I lucked into a sample of it and wow, was I hooked! So ordered a few more colors.   Turns out it is different from my other paints.

Why? Because it is like an ink and a paint at the same time.  The ink aspect of it lets it be stamped very easily with very little clean up.  The acrylic paint aspect of it lets the colors be mixable, vibrant, and rich.  As a bonus it dries very quickly too which is a big deal for me, the patience impaired….

Here’s a quick video showing how I used high flow paints with rubber stamps from Judikins.

The project I mentioned in the video, well here it is!  I’ve got a new newsletter and a thank you video and pdf (both downloadable!) for my newsletter subscribers.

The behind the scene adventures of switching to a new email provider involved more than I had expected but isn’t that how computer things tend to go?  My current newsletter subscribers will need to join in on this too in order to keep receiving my Sparks of Art-spiration and newsletters. There was no way around this and believe me I tried!  I offered the computer elves every possible bribe but they held firm…The good news is that everyone can get the downloadable video and pdf right away!

Never fear! Here is what my email provider told me (and I have found this to be true). There is the short answer and the long answer.

      The short answer:
Your confirmation is hung up somewhere in cyber space but usually finds its way to you within 12 hours. It is because of blah blah blah techno speak isp addresses, etc. If it doesn’t show up then just resubmit on the form again.

      The long answer:

Less Than 12 Hours After Their Subscription
Because often times the issue with missing confirmation messages is attributed to ISPs take a little longer than normal to put messages into the inbox and because sending additional confirmation message makes the link in the first invalid, there is a 12 hour period where no additional confirmation message can be sent.

For the meantime, you might suggest to the subscriber that they:

Look for the message in any other folders it may have been mis-routed to

Wait an hour, then check for it again

      Use a different email address
If after this period of time, the message still is not found, they may need to take additional measures.

More Than 12 Hours After Their Subscription
If the message is still not found after this period, your subscriber should:

Return to the web form they originally filled out and enter their information once more to have another copy of the confirmation message sent

  17. Debbie says:

I haven’t tried these paints yet and like you, was finding it hard to imagine how they could be much different from the fluid acrylics. Thanks for sharing this information. Your butterflies are very cheerful and pretty.

  18. I agree with Maron above….another item I need to try. I will be visiting my daughter for Thanksgiving in St. Louis where there is a Blick store. Which ones do I want? These are not the transparent ones are they? Which colors would you suggest getting first?
