Meditative Art Journal Peacock Play

Video tutorial using StencilClub's Peacock stencil with Golden's High Flow Paint in an Art Journal

When I started playing with this wonderful peacock stencil in my art journal, I just let it take me where it wanted to go.  I wasn’t in control – the paint was completely in charge.  So freeing to let go of any expectations, any stress, and just create.  It felt incredibly  meditative – and this is the kind of meditation I can get in to…thanks Jessica for an amazing set of stencils!

Guess you could say I “got into the flow”….oh silly me…you won’t get that joke until you’ve watched me play with Golden’s High Flow Paints in the video…

You can watch Peacock Stencil and High Flow Paints  on YouTube here.

Absolutely LOVE the white space you left! The page looks fresh–just like the beginning of a new year! Great video!

I love this! I’m a sucker for anything Peacock! Did you use the transparent High Flow colors or the standard ones? They have sets of both and I’m not sure which set I should start with. Thanks!

So pretty – I love the addition of the journaling in the dark swirls. I’m with Maria on the white space … I can never seem to leave it but it looks so light and airy.

I also love when an art journal page moves me to a mediative state and I work freely and without plans. Beautiful work and I just heard about high flow Golden’s paints and they are on my “to get” list.

Just great! Love your choice of colors, the writing in the swirls, the darker paint to pop the feathers. Watching you work encourages me to be spontaneous and just let it happen. I do my best work when I am in that free zone. Thanks!

Watching you work on this inspired me to create more… and I love working with stencils. I’m big into playfulness with creativity. Its the only way to go, quite frankly – at least that’s what I think. THANK YOU!

Beautiful colours, I like the the added bits of red. I always love to just let it flow occasionally. It really can be so meditative at times.
