Color Bloom Spray Inks Did Something Wonderful

Color Bloom spray inks can do what?

I’m a big fan of spray inks and when there is a new one I have to try it out.  I bought some Color Bloom spray inks and started playing.  They sprayed fine. The big handle was easy to use. They had some shimmer.  But there was one way they were far superior to other spray inks I’ve used – and that is with a stamp.   Check out the video to see how I used the spray ink with a stamp.

Here’s the forgotten art journal page from YEARS ago…I feel in love with it at this point making it too precious and then it was forgotten.  Until now.

Color Bloom spray inks can do what?

Colors Blooms worked so much better on a stamp than any of my other spray inks.

I love the large sheets of stamps by Kari McKnight Holbrook.  Of course, I could cut them into individual stamps but there is something I adore about stamps that are so large.

I had to add words to this…you know me.  I picked the words that matched the message the stamped woman was speaking to me.

This turned out so wonderful. Sometimes I wonder, do you ever pull out a journal page and frame it? This would be one for that. Those stamps are beautiful.

Glad I cold be of assistance, however it wasn’t needed. This page is fabulous! Love the colors–hummmm…perhaps you are hanging around me too much…seeing more and more red tones in your work. Okay! time to take the Color Blooms out of the box! Great technique!

Wow, now I have to try those inks. I wonder if they would stay wet long enough in Arizona for me to get some embossing powder on them… Hey one of the things I was wondering about the Color Blooms is whether you can adjust the nozzle for how dispersed you want the spray to come out. This is a really cool page. Love love love the orange and teal.

    • Carolyn Dube May 27, 2014, 9:36 pm

No idea about how long they last down there- things do dry quickly in Arizona! They stay very wet up here in the Midwest…I can’t see any way to adjust the nozzle but because of the big handle it is easy to adjust how hard I squeeze to get more of a splatter than a solid spray. Hope that helps!
